Cell Phone GSM Tracker

Cell Phone GSM Tracker - Track a cell phone location using LAC/CellID

Cell Phone GSM Tracker

Track down a cell phone online using LAC (Location Area Code) and Cell ID and display its location on Google Maps.

* indicates required.
MCC - Mobile Country Code
MNC - Mobile Network Code
LAC - Location Area Code*
CID - Cell ID*

How it works

This GSM tracker uses the location area code and CellID to determine the location of your nearby cell phone towers. Each base station covers a certain area, the more cell towers in your area, the more accurate result it will return. So the density of cell towers will determine the accuracy.
Generally, the density is higher in the urban areas especially at downtown. While in suburb areas, each cell tower covers a wider area, so the result is less accurate.
This GSM tracker sends query to Google location server, and returns the location. If the location area code and CellID are not included in their databases, no results will be returned.
If you are wondering what location area code and CellID are, check out this article. There are a few mobile platforms missing, and we will include them, check it back from time to time.

"A Few Words From The Silent Hunter"

Uplink frequency GSM 900 MHz band, (Channel 1 to 124) with the formula:
(CH X 200 KHz) + 890 MHz
Example: What is the frequency on channel 75 in the uplink band GSM 900 MHz GSM system?.
(CH X 200 KHz) + 890 MHz
(75 X 200 KHz) + 890 MHz
(15000 KHz) + 890 MHz
15 MHz + 890 MHz = 905 MHz
So the value of the frequency on the uplink channel 75 in the 900 MHz band is 905 MHz.

Uplink frequency DCS 1800 MHz band, (Channel 512 to 885) with the formula:
{(CH - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.710.2 MHz
Example: What is the frequency on the uplink channel 600 in the band 1800 MHz DCS system?.
{(CH - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.710.2 MHz
{(600 - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.710.2 MHz
{(88) X 200 kHz} + 1.710.2 MHz
{17600 KHz} + 1.710.2 MHz
17.6 MHz + 1.710.2 MHz = 1.727.8 MHz
So the value of the frequency on the uplink channel 600 in the 1800 MHz band is 1.727.8 MHz.

Uplink frequency PCS 1900 MHz band, (Channel 512 to 810) with the formula:
{(CH - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.850.2 MHz
Example: What is the frequency on the uplink channel 612 in the band 1900 MHz PCS system?.
{(CH - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.850.2 MHz
{(612 - 512) X 200 kHz} + 1.850.2 MHz
{(100) X 200 kHz} + 1.850.2 MHz
{20000 KHz} + 1.850.2 MHz
20 MHz + 1.850.2 MHz = 1.870.2 MHz
So the value of the frequency on the uplink channel 612 in the 1900 MHz band is 1.870.2 MHz.

Uplink frequency UMTS 2100 MHz band, (Channel 512 to 1500) with the formula:
{(CH minus 512) X 200 kHz} + 2100 MHz
Example: What is the frequency on the uplink channel 1500 in the band 2100 MHz PCS system?.
{(CH - 512) X 200 kHz} + 2150 MHz
{(1500 - 512) X 200 kHz} + 2150 MHz
{(1000) X 200 kHz} + 2150 MHz
{20000 KHz} + 2150 MHz
20 MHz + 2150 MHz = 2170 MHz
So the value of the frequency on the uplink channel 1500 in the 2100 MHz band is 2170 MHz.
